Funeral for Jimmy Lee Wiggins Sr., 82, of Bluff Park in Birmingham was Saturday, Feb. 11, at 11 a.m. at Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home Chapel in Hoover with Harry Walls and Drew Ramsey officiating.
Burial was in Jefferson Memorial Gardens, South.
Mr. Wiggins died Thursday, Feb. 9, 2006. He was a World War II veteran and was retired from U.S. Steel and America's First Credit Union. He was a member and elder at Shades Mountain Independent Church.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Betty Wiggins; two sons, Jimmie Wiggins and wife Renee and Billy Wiggins and wife Thea; two grandsons; a granddaughter; and a great-grandson.
