Funeral for the Rev. Marvin C. Pitts, 88, of Hartselle was Sunday, March 12, at 1:30 p.m. at Hartselle Heritage Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Roger Lewis, Danny Pitts and Lanuel Sherill officiating.
Burial was in Hartselle Memory Gardens.
Rev. Pitts died Friday, March 10, 2006, at Hartselle Medical Center. He was born Feb. 8, 1918, in Limestone County to Lother Pitts and Rosie Musgrove Pitts. He was a retired minister of the United Pentecostal Church.
He is survived by his wife of 70 years, Virginia Pitts of Hartselle; two sons, Paul Pitts of Hartselle and Bobby Pitts of Vinemont; a sister, Rachel Westmoreland; four grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
