Inmate found in Jefferson County

An escapee from the Morgan County Jail was captured last week in Jefferson County.
Jonathan Dewayne Fulmer was found May 12 in a church parking lot in a vehicle that had been reported to the Decatur Police Department as stolen a day after Fulmer's escape.
When questioned by Jefferson County Deputies, Fulmer gave them a false name but upon further investigation it was found that he was an escapee from the Morgan County Jail.
Fulmer was charged by Jefferson County authorities with receiving stolen property in the first degree and felony obstructing justice using a false identity. He still faces burglary first degree, probation violation and escape in the second degree charges in Morgan County.
