Funeral for William Gordon Wood, 75, of Falkville was Friday, May 26, at noon at Mount Carmel Baptist Church with Bro. David Taylor officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing.
Burial was in the adjoining cemetery.
Mr. Wood died Tuesday, May 23, 2006, at his residence. He was born March 22, 1931, in Morgan County to John Edward Wood and Nina Malinda Knight Wood.
He is survived by his wife, Betty Jean Strickland Wood of Falkville; three sons, Charles Norman Wood, Jerry Wood and wife Dennett and Thomas Wood, all of Falkville; a sister, Ann Waris of Daytona, Fla.; and two grandchildren.
