By Staff
A Cullman County man and a Holly Pond woman hold the dubious distinction of being the first inmates booked in Morgan County's new jail.
Agents with the Morgan County Drug Task Force stopped Bradley Neal Steele, 22, of 2339 County Road 1679 in Cullman, last week on Gordon Drive in Decatur. Also in the vehicle was Miranda Leshea Pannell, 19, of 125 County Road 1733 in Holly Pond.
Agents found 10 pounds of marijuana and $3,530 in cash.
Steele was charged with trafficking in marijuana, attempting to elude, driving with a revoked license and failing to signal while turning. Pannell was charged with trafficking in marijuana.
Steele's bond was set at $100,900. Pannell's bond was set at $1,000.
