Funeral for Robert Marland Harris Sr., 60, of Vinemont, was Saturday, June 10, at 3 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. William Arthur Harris officiating.
Burial was in Piney Grove Cemetery.
Mr. Harris died Tuesday, June 6, 2006, at the residence of his son. He was born Nov. 30, 1945, in Morgan County to James William Harris and Katie Ethel Adkins Harris.
He was self-employed as a general contractor and was a fundamentalist.
He is survived by two sons, Robert Harris Jr. of Nashville, Tenn. and Bobby Michael Harris of Brookfield, Ill; a daughter, Carla Jean Merritt of Brookfield, Ill.; a brother, William Arthur Harris of Lincolnton, N.C.; two sisters, Iva Nadine Powell of Hartselle and Betty Jean Steele of Vinemont; a grandson, Robert Joseph Harris and a granddaughter, Felicia Ann Harris, both of Nashville, Tenn.
