Sign-ups beginning
Sign-ups are under way for the Morgan County Parks and Recreation Department adult softball leagues. The men's church league at South Park will have a 14-game schedule between the months of July and September. The entry fee is $375 per team due by June 30. The men's fall league at West Park and the co-ed fall league at South Park will have 14-game schedules between August and October. The entry fee is $375 and is due July 14. Fall soccer sign-ups now
League registration is already under way for the fall season of Hartselle's youth soccer league. Sign-ups are every Monday in June at the Sparkman Civic Center from 6 to 8 p.m. The fee is $65 per player with an additional $10 concession fee.
Cheer clinic planned soon
The Hartselle cheerleading clinic will be June 19-23. Sessions are daily from 9 a.m. until noon and will be taught by the Hartselle High varsity cheerleading squad. The cost to attend is $35 per student ages 4 and older and includes a T-shirt. Please register and pay by June 16.
Disc golf every Tuesday
Area Frisbee golfers are invited to meet every Tuesday at 6 p.m. at Sparkman Park for a free tournament.
Karate clinic set for July
Donnie Chappell, head instructor at Chappell's Family Karate, will be teaching life skills in a Christian environment. The clinic is for ages 3 and older and will take place from July 17-21 from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m. Ages 3-5 will attend for one hour and ages 6 and older will attend for two hours. The fee is $20 for the younger ages and $30 for the older ages. Please register and pay by July 14. For more information, call Chappell's Family Karate at 751-3325.
Baton clinic starting soon
Kim Ellis-Robertson will be instructing girls ages kindergarten-fifth grade the basics of twirling, basic strut and a dance twirl routine. The class is June 26-29 from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at the Sparkman Civic Center. Please register and pay the $32 clinic fee by June 23.
