Funeral for Jimmy Eckles, 59, of Falkville will be Thursday (today), June 29, at 11 a.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel.
Burial will be in Herring Cemetery.
Mr. Eckles died Tuesday, June 27, 2006, at Decatur Health and Rehabilitation in Decatur. He was born June 2, 1947, in Lauderdale County to Charles Eckles and Ruth Mae Benefield Eckles. He was self-employed in the heating and cooling business. He was a Baptist.
He is survived by his wife, Sue Eckles of Falkville; three sons, Jimmy Stephon Eckles of Estill Springs, Tenn., Brad Eckles of Tinker AFB, Oklahoma City, Okla. and James Lenz of Decatur; three daughters, Angie Sutton of Somerville, Shannon Simpson of Decatur and Jamie Hammond of Hartselle; his mother, Ruth Mae Eckles of Estill Springs; a brother, Charles Eckles of the Tri-Cities; and 11 grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be family members.
