Funeral for Earl Fred Charest, 75, of Somerville was Wednesday, July 12, at 11 a.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Curtis Stanford and the Rev. Libby Rollins officiating.
Burial was in Center Springs Cemetery.
Mr. Charest died Sunday, July 9, 2006, at his residence. He was born July 29, 1930, in Morgan County to Frank Charest and Maggie Sarah Barnett Charest. He was a commercial fisherman and farmer who loved to hunt. He retired from General Electric as tool crib manager.
He was preceded in death by three sisters, Marie Charest, Margie Faye Donker and Eula N. Henderson; and two brothers, Louie Charest and Huel Charest.
He is survived by his wife, Mona Lyle Charest of Somerville; a son, Ricky Charest of Somerville; three daughters, Denise Taylor and Kelly Charest, both of Somerville, and Lisa Burgess of Hartselle; and two grandchildren, Ashley Charest and Jacob Burgess.
Pallbearers were Wesley Motes, Shawn Buckner, Norris Wilson, Danny Slaten, Steve Taylor and Chris Burgess.
