Parkway, Heart Center team up

Parkway Medical Center is teaming with the Heart Center to provide expanded cardiovascular services.
New services will include cardiovascular screening programs, same-day office appointments, educational opportunities for community and staff, vascular disease management, anticoagulation management and cardiac rehabilitation. New technology upgrades are expected to follow.
Parkway Medical, with support from the Heart Center, also plans to open the county's first Chest Pain Center in the hospital's emergency department. The Chest Pain Center will offer cardiac and vascular emergency services in the emergency department, with clinical direction provided by the Heart Center's cardiologist.
Many of the cardiovascular services will initially be offered at Parkway's Danville Road medical office complex. Later this year, the hospital plans to build a new medical office building for the facility.
