Funeral for Gladys May Campbell, 98, of Falkville was Monday, July 24, at 2 p.m. at Mt. View Baptist Church with the Rev. Harvie Reynolds officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing.
Burial was in Union Hill Cemetery.
Mrs. Campbell died Saturday, July 22, 2006, at Sunbridge Rehabilitation Center. She was born Dec. 2, 1907, in Morgan County to George Washington Cloer and Nettie Lou Woods Cloer. She was a homemaker, and a member of Mt. View Baptist Church. Two husbands, Hobart May and Ellis Campbell; three sons, Luard May, Duward May and Oliver Shaneyfelt; and a daughter, Georgia Balentine, preceded her in death.
She is survived by a son, Hobart May of Florence; a daughter, Vera Kent of Falkville; three sisters, Myrtie Nelson and Vertie Hudgins, both of Falkville and Jamie Tenneyson of Decatur;20 grandchildren; and a host of great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were grandsons and relatives.
