Funeral for James Max Hall, 74, a resident of Orlando, FL. and a native of Falkville, will be Saturday, July 29, at 4 p.m. at the Cathedral Church of Saint Luke in Orlando with Carey Hall Colonial Funeral Home directing.
Mr. Hall died July 21, 2006, in Orlando. He was born in Falkville to the late B.G. and Enid Moses Hall, longtime residents of Hartselle.
He attended public schools in Hartselle and graduated from Auburn University with the class of 1953. After serving in the U.S. Army, he worked for General Electric in Schenectady, N.Y. as an advertising copywriter. Her moved to Central Florida in 1960 and founded the Dayner/Hall Advertising Agency in 1970, serving as its president and chairman until his retirement in 1995. He achieved some prominence in the field of high-tech advertising for computer peripheral and telecommunications products. In 1975 he earned a Master of Science degree in management from Rollins College and served for a time as adjunct instructor in marketing and advertising at the Crummer School of Business. In 1996 he was named Florida Commissioner of the Clan Skene Association, representing the Clan in various Scottish-American activities. He was elected a Fellow of the Society of the Antiquaries of Scotland in 2003. Until his final illness, he was one of the newspaper readers in a radio service for the blind.
Mr. Hall will be remembered by his family and friends for his loving personality, open honesty, sincerity and witty humor. He was caring, generous and unselfish-always putting the needs of others ahead of his own.
He is survived by his widow, Regina S. Hall of Orlando; two sons, Samuel Hall of Yukon, OK and Stuart Hall of Chicago, IL; two stepdaughters, Michelle Mazzonetto of Winter Springs, FL, and Kathleen Bunnell of Maitland, FL; and grandchildren, Tyler and Natalie Bunnell of Maitland.

Funeral for Mary Jane Wright, 88, of Hartselle was Tuesday, July 25, at 1 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Harold Hall and Carold Hall officiating.
Burial was in Johnson Chapel Cemetery.
Mrs. Wright died Saturday, July 22, 2006, at Hartselle Medical Center. She was born Aug. 10, 1917, in Morgan County to William Jasper Garrison and Dona Harriet Montgomery Garrison. She was a homemaker and a member of the Hartselle Holy Church of Christ. Her husband, Walter Samuel Wright, brother, Calvin Garrison, and two sisters, Lucinda Brown and Stella Looney, preceded her in death. She is survived by two sons, Virgil Wright and Jessie Wright and wife Gail, all of Hartselle; four daughters, Martha R. Dyer, Barbara F. Norwood, Gloria Russell and husband Allen, and Helen Johnson and husband John, all of Hartselle; a sister, Dolly L. Carver of Decatur; 17 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren. Pallbearers were Timmy Lamb, Samuel T. Dyer, Jessie L. Wright II, Michael L. Wright, Jimmy R. Self and Ray Norwood.
