Johnson, Hamley to wed
Robert and Pamela Johnson of Decatur announce the engagement of their daughter, Karen Denise Johnson, to Shawn Allen Hamley, son of Oliver and Toni Hamley of Huntsville.
The bride-elect is a 1996 graduate of Hartselle High School and attended Wallace State Community College and Calhoun Community College. She is employed with Tibs Realty of Huntsville.
She is the granddaughter of Alfred and Geri Romager of Hartselle, Robert Johnson of Decatur and the late Joyce Johnson.
The groom-elect is a 1995 graduate of Huntsville High School and attended the University of North Alabama. He is employed with Toyota Manufacturing.
The wedding will be Sunday, Aug. 6, at Sunlake Clubhouse of Madison.
Owen, Lamb set date
Mr. and Mrs. Phillip David Owen of Bluff City, Tenn. announce the engagement of their daughter, April Dawn Owen, to Benjamin Pope Lamb, son of Michael and Dana Lamb of Knoxville, Tenn., formerly of Decatur.
The bride-elect is a 2003 magna cum laude graduate of East Tennessee State University with a bachelor's degree in mass communications. She is employed with WJHL-TV of Johnson City, Tenn.
The groom-elect is a graduate of Decatur High School and Montreat College with a bachelor's degree in religion. He is employed with WJHL-TV of Johnson City, Tenn. He is the grandson of Lilly Mae Weaver of Knoxville, Tenn., Irene Pope of Danville, the late LV Lamb and the late Robert Pope. The wedding will be Aug. 5 in Johnson City, Tenn.
Reid, Emerson to wed
Johnnie and Juanita Reid of Falkville announce the engagement of their daughter, Sabrina J. Reid, to Seth P. Emerson, son of Mark and Camela Emerson of Somerville.
The bride-elect is a 1999 graduate of Hartselle High School. She is employed with Rite-Aid Pharmacy of Cullman. She is the granddaughter of Virginia Burney of Hanceville, the late Clifford Burney, and the late Roland and Velma Reid.
The groom-elect attended Brewer High School. He is employed with Joiner Construction in Vinemont. He is the grandson of Dewitt and Libby Crowe of Somerville and D.A. and Irene Emerson of Arab.
The wedding will be Sept. 29 at Somerville Baptist Church.
Wallace, Hutson to wed
Michael and Amy Goodwin of Cullman and Dwight Wallace of Muscle Shoals announce the engagement of their daughter, Marcie Brooke Wallace, to Derrick Alan Hutson, son of Kenneth and Patricia Hutson of Cullman.
The bride-elect is a 2006 graduate of Hartselle High School where she was a varsity cheerleader and a member of many civic, academic and athletic associations including the Fellowship of Christian Athletes and SADD. She plans to attend the University of Alabama in Huntsville this fall to study medicine. She is the granddaughter of Curtis and Angie Sanders of Hartselle, Sam and Brenda Wallace of Muscle Shoals, and Madge Goodwin of Piedmont. She is the great granddaughter of Polly Tuberville of Muscle Shoals.
The groom-elect is a graduate of Cullman High School and Wallace State Community College and plans to attend the University of Alabama in Huntsville this fall to study computer programming. He is the grandson of Mac and Silva McGukin and Bobby and Lee Blaloch of Cullman.
The wedding will be Aug. 12 at 4 p.m. at Spirit Life Church of God in Cullman.
Nicholson, McKelvey to wed
Van and Angie Roach of Lynchburg, Tenn. and Duane and Tammy Nicholson of Lynchburg, Tenn. announce the engagement of their daughter, Callie Sue Nicholson, to Michael Gene McKelvey, son of Dave and Jean Rausch of Hartselle and Terry and Cathy McKelvey of Jasper.
The future bride is a 2002 graduate of Moore County High School. She is attending the University of Alabama in Huntsville pursing a bachelor's of science degree in mechanical engineering. She is a member of the Delta Zeta Sorority. She is employed by the Rotocraft Systems Engineering and Simulation Center of UAH.
The future groom is a 1997 graduate of Hartselle High School. He graduated from Auburn University in 2001 with a bachelor's of science degree in mechanical engineering. He is employed by Tennessee Valley Authority/Browns Ferry Nuclear Plant as a mechanical design engineer.
The wedding will be Aug. 12 at the First United Methodist Church of Lynchburg, Tenn.
