Council approves rezoning, OKs senior grant application

Hartselle's City Council approved several rezonings at its last meeting.
The council unanimously approved:
The council also annexed 1 acre and a single family home on Garner Road. The rezoning on that property will be decided at the Aug. 8 city council meeting.
In other business, Hartselle is applying for a $250,000 grant that would be used to expand the Senior Center.
The program is through the state's Community Development Block Grant. The county has pledged $25,000 for the project. The city won't be required to provide funding for the project.
