However, some Crestline Elementary School students may disagree with that assessment.
Third graders had to be set up in temporary classrooms because new roof-mounted air conditioning and heating units were back ordered and aren’t expected to arrive until next month. They will replace old existing window unit air conditioners.
Dr. Reed said a delay in getting shipment of the air conditioning and heating units was not anticipated last spring when the work was contracted out.
First day enrollment at all five schools totaled 3,071, or eight more than the 3,063 reported at the same time in the prior year.
Hartselle High School reported the biggest increase at 17, from 880 to 901; Hartselle Junior High followed with a gain of 17, from 716 to 733; Barkley Bridge Elementary increased by 15, from 430 to 445; F. E. Burleson Elementary lost 31, from 442 to 411; and Crestline Elementary was down by 14, from 595 to 581.
