Billy Wayne Thomas, 47, of Somerville, died Saturday, Aug. 19, 2006, at Huntsville Hospital.
Peck Funeral Home handled local arrangements and Hardage Giddens Funeral Home in Jacksonville, Fla., handled funeral arrangements.
Mr. Thomas was born Feb. 3, 1958, in Florida. He was a Baptist and a member of River Walk Yacht Club and the Coast Guard Auxiliary. He was a world traveler and enjoyed restoring antique boats.
He is survived by his wife, Terri Lynn Thomas of Somerville; his parents, Billie and Shirley Thomas of Jacksonville, Fla.; a brother, David Thomas of Jacksonville, Fla.; and a sister, Dianne Kapri Thomas of New York, N.Y.
