Racking Horse celebration planned

The 35th annual Racking Horse World Celebration will be held at Celebration Arena in Priceville Sept. 23-30.
Events will get underway Sept. 23 at 5 p.m. with the first performance in the main arena.
On Sept. 24, church services will be held at 9:30 a.m. followed by a Ladies Auxiliary Potluck Luncheon at 11:30 a.m. in the sale pavilion. The auxiliary will host a dog show at 1 p.m. with the second performance at 6 p.m.
On Monday, there will be a Pleasure Association Fun Show at 10 a.m. with each class divided into youth (15 and under) and adult.
Egg and spoon race, arena race, broom polo and more will be held during the fun show. The third performance will begin at 6 p.m.
Events will begin at 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday with a Pleasure Association meeting in the board room, followed by a LifeSouth Blood Drive at 10 a.m. The Morgan County Convention and Visitor’s Bureau will host a fish fry at 11 a.m. The auxiliary will host a barn and camper beautification contest, with judging beginning at 2 p.m.
The fourth performance will begin at 6 p.m. The fifth performance will be held Sept. 27 at 6 p.m.
On Thursday, a new and used tack sale will begin at 9 a.m. with the sixth performance at 6 p.m.
Friday will begin with a yearling and brood mare sale at 9 a.m. followed by an auxiliary cookout at 10:30 a.m. The seventh performance will be that night at 6 p.m.
Events will conclude on Saturday with a general membership meeting at 9 a.m. and an auxiliary consignment sale at 10 a.m. The open horse sale will begin at 10 a.m.
The final performance will be at 6 p.m.
