Car and antique tractor show revs up enthusiasm for Depot Days
Depot Days has something for just about everyone, whether you prefer your engines to be in a car or a John Deere.
The annual Car, Truck and Motorcycle Show features autos from clubs across North Alabama. The show will take place in the First United Methodist Church parking lot and down Hickory Street. There will also be a swap meet, vendors and food. There won’t be judging but there will be door prizes. All cars, trucks and motorcycles are welcome to participate.
The Antique Tractor Show will feature some 75 antique tractors. Tractor drivers will perform in several competitive events.
The event will take place on South Sparkman Street and the parking area adjacent to the Farmer’s Market on Saturday, Sept. 16, from 8 a.m.-4 p.m.
Several demonstrations and games involving the exhibitors and their tractors are planned. Whether still in use, or only for show, all model tractors from 1923 through 1962 are eligible to be registered. Exhibitors are also eligible to win door prizes.
