Author Cindi Wood to speak in Hartselle Sept. 30
Clif Knight, Hartselle Enquirer
Women of all ages who are feeling frazzled can expect to find the answer to their dilemma by heeding the advice of Cindi Wood, author of “The Frazzled Female” when she appears in person at West Hartselle Baptist Church on Saturday, Sept. 30, from 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
Wood speaks from personal experience when she conducts seminars and teaches the strung-out and frazzled woman how to creatively manage the stresses of life in the 21st century.
She is an author, speaker and entrepreneur…also a wife and mother of two whose speaking engagements are booked more than a year in advance.
Her visit was arranged by the Women of Worth of West Hartselle Baptist Church. Tickets are $15 each and include lunch.
She added, “Our purpose is to reach out to women of all ages…to help bring those who are lost and hurting into a relationship with Jesus Christ, and to help women who already are Christians to have a more intimate relationship with their Savior.”
Wood is a much sought after speaker for various national and regional conferences, church groups, business organizations, schools and government agencies.
With a degree in education, she has logged over 20 years of experience working with adults and children, helping them to learn to combat stress by managing time, developing a sense of humor, learning to organize and, above all, teaching them to develop a closer relationship with Jesus Christ.
She lives in her hometown of Kings Mountain, N.C. Her husband Larry is assistant city manager of Gastonia, N.C., her son Brandon has a design studio and son Lane is a student at Appalachian State University and also a singer-writer for the touring Christian band, One Way,
Wood has been seen on a number of TV interview shows, including the 700 Club. She also produces a 90-second Frazzled Female Moment, which can be heard on a number of Christian radio stations.
Frazzled Females is Cindi’s term for today’s schedule-scattered, brain-strained woman.
Steele said response from the community in support of Women of Worth has been overwhelming.
West Hartselle Baptist saw the need for a women’s outreach ministry and established the W.O.W. in January 2005. Since then it has sponsored a visit by motivational speaker Iris Blue, conducted a women’s retreat at Joe Wheeler State Park and took a group of women to Knoxville, TN to hear Beth Moore, Steele added.
Tickets may be ordered by calling the West Hartselle Baptist Church office at 773-6086.
