Funeral for Gayle Copeland, 63, of Huntsville will be Thursday (today), Sept. 14, at 11 a.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Harold Segars and DeWitt Crowe officiating. Burial will be in Hartselle Memory Gardens.
Ms. Copeland died Tuesday, Sept. 12, 2006, at Crestwood Medical Center in Huntsville. She retired from HUD through Senator John Sparkman’s office. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Hoyt Copeland. She is survived by a brother, J. T. Copeland Jr. and wife Brenda of Hartselle; two sisters, Laura Mason and husband Ralph of Decatur and Doris Ann Rising and husband Gerry of Buffalo, N.Y.; and a special friend, B. J. Treadwell of Arab. Pallbearers will be Brent Treadwell, Bob McIlwain, David Thrower, Danny Copeland, Jim Mason and Ken Mason. Honorary pallbearer will be Butch Mefford.
