Joyce Earline Ryan Letson

Funeral for Joyce Earline Ryan Letson, 82, of Cullman was Saturday, Sept. 9, at 10 a.m. at New Salem Baptist Church with the Rev. Richard Bailey and Michael Lackey officiating and Hanceville Funeral Home directing. Burial was in New Salem Cemetery.
Mrs. Letson died Wednesday, Sept. 6, 2006, at Woodland Village Health Care Center. She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Nina Maples; a granddaughter, Tina Maples; a grandson, James Wilson Smith; a great-granddaughter, Ryan Smith; a great-grandson, Joshua Riener; three brothers, Gene, Buddy and Johnny Burleson; and a sister, Maureen Gammell.
She is survived by three daughters, Brenda Bailey and husband Richard of Hanceville, Connie Smith of Arab and Ramona Bonham and husband Michael of McKinney, Tex.; two sons, Woodrow Ryan and wife Laine of Huntsville and Jimmy Ryan of Eva; a son-in-law, Bobby Maples of Hartselle; 11 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandchild; a brother, J. B. Burleson; and three sisters, Mildred Goforth, Jackie Perrigan and Doris McMurry.
