DA warns worthless check writers

Morgan County District Attorney’s Worthless Check Unit and the Restitution Unit will be conducting a roundup of worthless check writers in October, according to DA Bob Burrell.
The units have began preparing their lists of individuals who will be arrested if they do not meet their obligations under Alabama law prior to the roundup period.
Burrell said those with outstanding warrants have until the close of business Oct. 14 to settle their debts or face arrest.
