Funeral for Garland Hancock Jr., 78, of Brentwood, Tenn., was Wednesday, Sept. 27, at 1 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Greg Compton officiating.
Burial was in Evergreen Cemetery.
Mr. Hancock died Sunday, Sept. 24, 2006, at his residence. He was born Jan. 4, 1928, in Alabama to Garland Turner Hancock Sr. and Catherine Wynell Wells Hancock. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force.
He is survived by two sons, Stephen L. Hancock of Brentwood, Tenn. and David Lynn Hancock of Los Angeles, Calif.; a brother, William Morris Hancock of Hartselle; two sisters, Peggy Martin of Decatur and Doris Willis of Jacksonville; and two grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Ziah Hancock, Matt Hancock, Eugene Shedd, Ken Floyd and Hershel Wells.
