Funeral for Tony Blackwood, 50, of Hartselle was Monday, Sept. 25, at 1 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Jack Key officiating.
Burial was in Salem Cemetery.
Mr. Blackwood died Saturday, Sept. 23, 2006, at his residence. He was born Oct. 15, 1955, to Arlin Blackwood and Sarah Nell Bryant Blackwood. He was a cattle farmer and a retired businessman. He was a member of Sunlight Baptist Church in Jasper. He was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his wife, Janet R. Blackwood of Hartselle; a son, Houston Blackwood and wife Kyla, of Hartselle; and a sister, Debbie Wren of Fort Worth, Tex.
Pallbearers were Mike Blackwood, Ronnie Blackwood, Don Boger, John Boger, Terry Miller and Jack Watson.
Honorary pallbearers were Lynn Blackwood, Evan Firpo, Harden Hoy, Gary Legg, Jason Self, Gary Shaneyfelt, Wade Weaver and Danny Williams.
Memorials may be made to St. Jude Hospital and Hospice of the Valley.
