Funeral for Bettie Jones Craig, 73, of Hartselle was Sunday, Oct. 8, at 1:30 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Gene Langford and Vandon Windsor officiating.
Burial was in Forrest Chapel Cemetery.
Mrs. Craig died Thursday, Oct. 5, 2006, at Crenshaw Community Hospital. She was born Jul,y 29, 1933, in Morgan County to John Therrell Wallace and Julia Ann Speakman Wallace. She was a lifetime member of Forrest Chapel United Methodist Church and was active in the United Methodist Women, local and district. She was a graduate of Danville High School, a school bus driver for Morgan County and Hartselle City school systems for 37 years and a member of the Wheeler Basin Good Sams Camping Club. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Homer Lee Jones; a son, Jeffrey Lynn Jones; and a brother, Pat Wallace.
She is survived by her husband, Robert Craig of Hartselle; a son, Steven Lee Jones of Madison; two daughters, Kathy Jones Maples of Danville and Denise Jones of Hartselle; three brothers, Ramon Wallace, Dwain Wallace and Andy Wallace, all of Hartselle; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were grandsons.
Memorials may be made to the United Methodist Women of Forrest Chapel United Methodist or to Hospice of the Valley.
