Funeral for Bob Bates, 47, of Somerville was Sunday, Oct. 8, at 4:30 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Wayne Turner officiating.
Burial was in Johnson Chapel Cemetery.
Mr. Bates died Friday, Oct. 6, 2006, at his residence. He was born Aug. 27, 1959, in Worchester, Maine, to Frank Bates and Shirley Ann Thomas Bates.
He is survived by his wife, Janice Boger-Bates of Somerville; two sons, Chris Pictou and Bill Pictou, both of NB, Canada; a stepson, Shane Boger of Decatur; two stepdaughters, Amanda Boger and Christy Cook, both of Danville; his stepfather, Victor Pictou of NB, Canada; a brother, Richard Bates of Somerville; four sisters, Deborah Bates of Somerville, Catherine Leger of Auburn, Me. and Judith Bates-LaBillois and Katherine Pictou, both of NB, Canada; and three grandchildren, Leelee Boger, Landon Boger and Casandra Pictou.
