Funeral for Chris Blackwood, 28, of Sandy Springs, S.C., was Thursday, Oct. 5, at 1 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Dewitt Crow officiating.
Burial was in Piney Grove Cemetery.
Mr. Blackwood died Saturday, Sept. 30, 2006, at his residence. He was born Dec. 14, 1977, in Lawrence County to Joe Blackwood and Marlene Hollingsworth.
He is survived by his father, Joe Blackwood of Crane Hill; his mother, Marlene Hollingsworth of Sandy Springs, S.C.; a brother, Brandon Draper of Sandy Springs, S.C.; a sister, Carol Smith of Falkville; and two cousins, James Smith and Michael Riggs.
