Funeral for Sarah Ann Layne, 98, of Hartselle was Wednesday, Oct. 18, at 11 a.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Bert Wiggers officiating. Burial was in Shaw Cemetery in Lawrence County.
She was a Baptist and was preceded in death by a son, Henry Layne Jr.
She is survived by a son, Daniel Layne of Weatherford, Okla.; five daughters, Mary Disney of Oklahoma City, Okla.; Pauline Terry of Somerville, Ephil Lawson of Bowling Green, Mo., Rowena Ross of Shawnee, Okla and Sarah V. Chandler of Hartselle; 34 grandchildren; 68 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-great-grandchild.
Pallbearers were Matthew Toller, Mancle Terry, Jimmy Flowers, Charles Hutchinson, Dusty May and Jacob Terry.
