Priceville couple injured in wreck

A Priceville couple are recovering from injuries they suffered in an accident along Highway 67 Oct. 20.
Francis P. Burnett, 80, and her husband, Clarence, 81, were injured around 5:30 p.m. near the intersection of Country Club Road. Rescue workers responding to the scene said they found the Burnett’s car, a 2007 Pontiac G6, had left the road and hit a tree.
Francis Burnett was initially taken to Decatur General Hospital then airlifted to Huntsville Hospital. Clarence Burnett was taken via air ambulance from the scene to Huntsville Hospital.
Decatur police said the Burnetts were both wearing seatbelts.
