Funeral for Bernice Smith Reeves, 82, of Somerville was Saturday, Oct. 28, at 1 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Stanley Reeves, Joe Jones and Aaron Clark officiating.
Burial was in New Center Cemetery.
Mrs. Reeves died Thursday, Oct. 26, 2006, at Falkville Health Care Center. She was born Aug. 31, 1924, in Morgan County to Richard Arthur Smith and Bertha Mae Callahan Smith. She was a member of Summerbrook Church of God of Prophecy. She was preceded in death by her husband, Merl J. Reeves. She is survived by four sons, James Steven Reeves of Hartselle, Michael Reeves of Speake, and Stanley M. Reeves and Dan Reeves, both of Somerville; four daughters, Patricia Reeves Mason, Sue Reeves Engle and Beverly Reeves Jones, all of Somerville and Jan Reeves Clark of Hartselle; adopted children, Stephen Lamar Reeves of North Carolina, Joshua James Reeves of Somerville and Deanna Reeves Dillehay of Hartselle; a sister, Irene Vines of Hartselle; 13 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.
