Leldon O. Brooks

Funeral for Leldon O. Brooks, 91, of Falkville, was Friday, Oct. 27, at 2 p.m. at Mt. Tabor Methodist Church with the Revs. Buddy Barnett and James Brock officiating.
Burial was in the adjoining cemetery with full military honors. He was retired from Goodyear Mill and was a U.S. Navy Veteran of WWII. He was a faithful member of the Florette Senior Center and was preceded in death by his wife, Ivalene Brooks.
He is survived by two sons, Jimmy Brooks and wife Sherry of Somerville and Lloyd Brooks and wife Gloria of Falkville; five grandchildren, David, Kevin, Kerry, “Mann” Lloyd and Amy; and six great-grandchildren, Michael Aaron, Justin, Kaden, Logan and Vanessa.
Pallbearers were Kevin Driggers, “Mann” Lloyd Brooks, John Haff, Daniel Cook, Jerry Bates and Rabe Jones.
