Veterans are guests of honor at ceremony

Hartselle Junior High School students and faculty will present their11th annual Veterans Day Celebration Nov. 2 at 1:30 p.m. in the school gym.
Honored will be all veterans of the Army, Air Force, Navy, Marines and Coast Guard, as well as active duty military personnel.
She said honorees are asked to park in the parking lot at J. P. Cain Stadium and to arrive in time to be seated in the school cafeteria not later than 1 p.m. From there they will walk down the “Hall of Heroes” and be seated on the bleacher side of the gum, youngest to oldest from top to bottom.
The student-driven program will feature performances by the school band and chorus and recognition of veterans both as a whole and according to the branch of service in which they served.
Award-winning essays on “What Is a Veteran” will be read and the John Frank Parker Patriotic Award will be presented at the conclusion of the program.
