Funeral for Robert Scott, 77, of Athens was Tuesday, Nov. 14, at 1 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Eric Bell and Eddie Gooch officiating.
Burial was in Mt. Tabor Cemetery.
Mr. Scott died Sunday, Nov. 12, 2006, at Athens-Limestone Hospital. He was born April 24, 1929, in Limestone County to George Robert Scott Sr. and Virgie Ruth Allred Scott. He was a member of the Methodist Church, a U.S. Navy veteran and former constable of the City of Hartselle. He was a master electrician for Flour-Daniels. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Margaret Scott Bell and Frances E. Scott.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Ann Scott of Athens, three daughters, Marsha Scott Buxton of Huntsville, June Renaee Scott of Athens and Rachael Scott McDonald of Hartselle; a brother, Clyde David Scott of Tuscaloosa; seven grandchildren; and one great grandchild.
Pallbearers were Paul Buxton, Danny McCaig, Jake McCaig, Jason Parker, Kenneth Pressnell, Harry Houston, Andrew Boyd and Stephen Scott.
