Three arrested for home theft

A watchful neighbor alerted the Morgan County Sheriff’s Department to a possibe theft last week in Somerville, leading to the arrest of three men.
Ribert Russell Widener II, 20, of 18 Callie Private Drive, Justin Garcia, age unknown, of 18 Callie Private Drive and Ronald Russell Widner, 52, of 4488 Highway 67 South, all of Somerville, are each charged with one count of burglary third degree and one count of theft of property in the second degree.
The arrests followed a call from a Somerville man Nov. 10 reporting three people were carrying items out of a neighbor’s house. The man said his neighbor had moved to Cullman and this alerted him. Sheriff’s Deputies responded and cordoned off the area between North Robbin and Poor House Hollow Road. Two of the suspects were taken into custody within 30 minutes; another was arrested on Callie Drive following a separate call from a neighbor reporting a suspicious person.
Each of the three were taken to Morgan County Jail placed under a $10,000 bond.
