Lusk, Bremmerman wed
Bethany Renae Lusk of Hartselle and Phillip Lyle Bremmerman of Hayden were wed Oct. 28, 2006 at 6 p.m. at the First Baptist Church in Hartselle with Rev. Dr. Ron Wilson officiating. The bride is the daughter of Randy and Sharion Lusk of Hartselle. The groom is the son of Larry and Cathy Bremmerman of Hayden.
The bride is the granddaughter of Edna Atkinson Lusk of Sylacauga, the late Harry Ward Lusk, the late Waldon Casey Blythe, the late Jerry Blythe Edwards and the late John Thomas Edwards.
The groom is the grandson of Edith Bremmerman and Sue Warden of Hayden, the late William Bremmerman and the late J.C. Warden. He is the great-grandson of Orel Hays of Hayden.
The altar was decorated with a rustic iron arbor adorned with swags of fall colored leaves, grass plumes and Jackson vine. Accompanying each side of the arbor were tall rustic urns holding candles and matching flowers. Two rustic iron candelabras holding candles and Jackson vine were accented on the outer side of the altar.
The bride was given in marriage by her father. She chose a formal designer gown of silk Mikado. The gown was fashioned with a molded bodice with a contrasting band at the bust line with a single strap, enhanced by a broach of rhinestones. The princess lines of the gown fell to an A-line skirt and semi-cathedral train. Crystal buttons graced the fullness of the train accompanied by a silk bow adorned with a broach of rhinestones. Her angel veil of imported French tulle was edged with multi-faceted crystals.
The bride carried a hand-tied bouquet of Vendella and Escimo roses with stephanotis wrapped in white silk ribbon with an overlay of braided ecru ribbon.
Emily Harris Crow of Birmingham was matron of honor and Christina Carden of Cullman was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Leslie Baker, cousin of the bride, of Tusclaoosa, Jayma Carlisle, cousin of the bride, of Chelsea, Tracie Collins of Decatur, Erin Hall of Alpheretta, Ga., Sarah Maddox of Elba and Mica Miller of Auburn.
Bridesmaids wore black strapless satin designer gowns adorned with a rhinestone broach and carried bouquets of Confetti, Conga, Terracotta and Star 2000 roses, red and yellow alstroemeria, yellow cushions, green and red hypericum, surrounded with seeded eucalyptus with the stems wrapped in black ribbons.
The father of the groom was best man. Groomsmen were Wayne Bremmerman, uncle of the groom, of Hayden, Mike Cail of Sylvan Springs, Chase Lusk, brother of the bride, of Hartselle, Shane Thomas and Steve Thomas, both of Hayden.
Donna Scott of Hartselle was the wedding director. Todd Whatley of Hartselle was the vocalist. Ellen Bean of Hartselle provided the piano and organ music. Lizzie Hendrix of Hartselle attended the bride’s book. Program attendants were Emily Hill and Nicole Hill, cousins of the groom, both of Hayden.
Following the ceremony, a reception was held at Burningtree Country Club. The club was decorated by candlelight and fresh fall mix flower arrangements.
The bride’s table featured a four-tiered ivory buttercream cake accented with pearl iced dots topped with a sterling silver monogram “B” adorned with Swarovski crystals surrounded by miniature Terracotta roses with cascading verigated roses down the sides. A doll replica of the bride and crystal based candlelight accompanied the cake on the overlayed antique gold crystal beaded tablecloth.
The groom’s table featured a two-tiered chocolate cake accented with chocolate initials and garnished with chocolate leaf borders. It also featured brown leaves, dark bronzed deer and low candelight to create the woodland theme.
Music was provided by the Sly Groove Band.
The couple honeymooned in Maui, Hawaii. They now reside in Warrior.
A rehearsal dinner luau was hosted by the groom’s parents Oct. 27 at Quail Creek Inn and Golf Resort.

Davidson, Woodard to wed
Dan and Cindy Davidson of Hartselle announce the engagement of their daughter, Emily Davidson of Gardendale, to Brandon Wayne Woodard of Morris, son of Kenneth and Linda Woodard of Morris.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Jimmy and Valla Ree Roberts of Hartselle and Vennie Davidson and the late Harold Davidson of Marion, Ind.
She is a 2001 graduate of Hartselle High School and 2005 graduate of Auburn University. She works as a financial assistant at the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) in the grants and contracts accounting department.
The groom-elect is the granddaughter of Jackie Varden and the late Earl Varden of Gardendale and Avelene Woodard and the late Elmer Woodard of Warrior.
He is a 2002 graduate of Mortimer Jordan High School and is currently attending Jefferson State Community College. He will be transferring to Jacksonville State University in January 2007, pursuing a degree in electronics engineering technology.
He is employed with United Parcel Service (UPS).

Hollingsworth, Robertson to wed
Glen and Janet Hollingsworth of Hartselle and Gary and Gena Baxter of Hartselle announce the engagement of their daughter, Ashley Ann Hollingsworth of Hartselle, to Brandon Clayton Robertson of Greensburg, Ky., son of Rodney and Connie Robertson of Greensburg, Ky.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Gene Duncan and the late Nancy Duncan and the late Mr. and Mrs. Albert Hollingsworth. A 2004 graduate of Hartselle High School, she attended Wallace State Community College. She is currently a Lance Corporal with the U.S. Marines on the USS Nashville stationed in Camp LeJeune, N.C.
The groom-elect is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Curtis Robertson and the late Twymon Ray and the late Anna Graham Ray Martin. He is a 2003 graduate of Greensburg High School. He is currently a Corporal with the U.S. Marines on the USS Nashville stated at Camp LeJeune, N.C.
The wedding is planned for Dec. 30, 2006 at Quail Creek Conference Center and Golf Resort.
Turney, Whiteley to wed Dec. 9
Lonnie Turney of Valhermoso Springs and Nina and Rodney Lazenby of Hartselle announce the engagement of their daughter, Marlene Elizabeth Turney of Hartselle to Charlie B. Whiteley Jr., of Athens, son of Brenda Haggamaker of Athens and the late Charlie B. Whiteley Sr. of Galveston, Texas.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of the late Robert and Lennes Puckett of Hartselle and Marie and the late Joe Turney of Valhermoso Springs. A graduate of Hartselle High School, she is a 2006 graduate of Calhoun Community College and is currently attending Athens State University’s School of Education.
The groom-elect is the grandson of the late L.C. and Lois Whiteley and the late Johnny and Rosa Leona Bartee. He is currently attending Calhoun Community College where he is studying drafting.
The wedding is planned for Dec. 9, 2006 at First United Methodist Church in Hartselle.
