Funeral for Loyd Chaney, 79, of Hartselle was Friday, Dec. 8, at 11 a.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Milan Dekich and David Gamble officiating.
Burial was in Jones Cemetery.
Mr. Chaney died Wednesday, Dec. 6, 2006, at Hartselle Medical Center. He was a lineman for Joe Wheeler Electric Membership Cooperative, attended Bethel Baptist Church and played in a country gospel band, Tennessee Valley Boys. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Kyle Chaney.
He is survived by his wife, Beatrice Harden Chaney of Hartselle; four sons, Charles Chaney of Decatur, Bobby Chaney of Lacey’s Spring, Larry Chaney of Hartselle and Jeff Tennyson of Florida; a daughter, Shelia Watwood of Hartselle; three brothers, J.D. Chaney and Billy Chaney, both of Punkin Center, and Milton Chaney of Moulton; seven grandchildren; and 11 great grandchildren.
Grandchildren and close friends were pallbearers.
