Special holiday garbage service offered

The city of Hartselle is hoping to make your holiday a little brighter - and a lot neater – with a special garbage service during Christmas week.
Garbage customers will be allowed to place items outside their regular containers for pick-up during Christmas week. This will include things such as large boxes or bags.
Normally, all items must be placed inside the garbage containers. This exception will apply only to Christmas week.
Garbage service will be on a new schedule for the week of Christmas and New Year.
On Christmas week, Monday’s trash pick-up will be on Wednesday; Tuesdays will be on Thursday; and Wednesday and Thursdays pickups will be on Friday.
The same schedule will be repeated the week of New Year’s.
There will be no yard waste pickup either week.
