Funeral for Shirley Cox, 69, of Eva was Wednesday, Dec. 20, at 11 a.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Steven Smith officiating.
A graveside service followed at 2:30 p.m. at New Hope Cemetery in Hamilton.
Mrs. Cox died Sunday, Dec, 17, 2006, at Falkville Health Care Center. She was born September 19, 1937, in Marion County. A resident of Falkville Healthcare Center for three years, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Cox, a son, Michael Cox, and a daughter, Rita Cox.
She is survived by four sons, Phillip Cox and Matthew Cox, both of Arab, and Stanley Cox and John Cox, both of Eva; three daughters, Karen Cox and Sandra Cox, both of Eva, and Julie Davis of Hartselle; her parents, Lutie and Candace Parker of Eva; a brother, Dewayne Parker of Decatur; three sisters, Debra Niles of Eva, Sarah Crawford of Holt and Joann Engle of Texas; 15 grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren.
