Funeral for Odie Lee Looney Poole, 80, of Hartselle was Friday, Dec. 22, at 11 a.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Daryl Wood officiating.
Burial was in Friendship Cemetery near Danville.
Mrs. Poole died Tuesday, Dec. 19, 2006, at Huntsville Hospital. She was born March 18, 1928, in Lawrence County to Floyd W. Looney and Edna Mae Ledlow Looney.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Douglas Pole; four brothers, Phelton Looney, Walter Looney, Travis Looney and Mosie Looney; and a sister, Cleo Looney Kilpatrick.
She was homemaker, a volunteer for Headstart and Senior Action and a foster grandparent.
She is survived by a son, Allen Poole and wife Deborah of Summerville, S.C.; three daughters, Joyce Coffey of Decatur, Patsy Springer of Atlanta, Ga. and Phyllis Walden and husband Cecil of Mason, Ga.; four sisters, Lorene Holladay of Danville, Martha Turrentine of Vinemont, Margie Button of Decatur and Athlea Dover of LaVergne, Tenn.; 13 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and 22 nieces and nephews.
Family members were pallbearers.
