Business privilege licenses due by Jan. 31

Hartselle business privilege licenses for 2007 are due and payable this month and will be subject to a 15 percent late penalty if not paid by Feb. 1, according to Renee Shadden, business license clerk.
Any corporation, partnership or individual doing business within the corporate limits of Hartselle is required to have a city license, Shadden said. Renewal notices were mailed to some 2,400 businesses in December.
Licenses may be paid in person at the Municipal Building between the hours of 7:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.
