Funeral for Billie Carl Rippy, 73, of Hartselle was Wednesday, Jan., 31, at 1 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Roger Ammons and Gary Dutton officiating.
Burial was in Hartselle City Cemetery.
Mr. Rippy died Sunday, Jan. 28, 2007, at Decatur General Hospital. He was a veteran of the U. S. Navy from 1952 until 1956 and attended Pine Street Baptist Church in Falkville.
He is survived by three sons, Michael Rippy and Marty Rippy, both of North Carolina, and Scott Rippy; a daughter, June Rippy of Chattanooga, Tenn.; a brother, Byron Rippy of Pennsylvania; three sisters, Lillie Tipton of Hartselle, Burma Gergely of Pennsylvania and Barbara Head of North Carolina; and several grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Arnold I. Stewart, Kevin L. Hannah, Arnold B. Stewart, Therman A. Tipton, Curtis Slaten and Jimmy Wilbanks.
