Tigers make it 2 in a row over Bulldogs

Hartselle boys 57, Priceville boys 48
For the second straight game, the Tigers knocked off Priceville. Saturday, the two teams played in the championship game of the Morgan County basketball tournament, with Hartselle taking that game by 20.
This time the score was a little closer, but Hartselle shot 9-of-9 from the free throw line in the fourth quarter to help close out the win.
Alex Brown and Jackson Holmes each scored 13 points to lead Hartselle. Luke Bole added 10 for the Tigers (16-12).
Josh Bedwell scored 15 to lead Priceville (13-14).
Hartselle girls 68, Priceville girls 21
The Lady Tigers' defensive pressure proved to be too much for Priceville as Hartselle held the Lady Bulldogs to just seven first-half points in the win.
Jessica Andrews scored 14 points to lead Hartselle (23-4). Lauren Drake finished with a double-double performance of 10 points and 12 rebounds and Mary Virginia Reeves added 10 points and eight rebounds.
Falkville boys 57, Danville boys 53
Heath Alford led the way for the Blue Devils (12-11) with 21 points. Joseph Lacy added 16 in Falkville's home win Monday evening.
Zack Orr led Danville with 23 points and Russell Standridge added 16 for the Hawks.
Danville girls 52, Falkville girls 27
The Lady Hawks improved to 15-11 with the road win Monday evening.
Danville was led by Bethany Evans' 13 points. Evans also finished with nine assists and three steals. Chelsea Keenum added nine points and Alaina Fitzgerald and Lauren Simmons each pulled down six rebounds.
