Vera Francis Nix

Funeral for Vera Francis Nix, 83, of Hartselle was Monday, Jan. 29, at 11 a.m. at Hartselle Heritage Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Earl Holt and Brian Bridges officiating.
Burial was in Antioch Methodist Cemetery in Oneonta.
Mrs. Nix died Friday, Jan. 26, 2007, at Summerford Nursing Home. She retired from the Physical Therapy Department at Hartselle Medical Center after 20 years. She was a member of Bell Springs Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, the Rev. Carl Nix and grandson, Tommy Hicks.
She is survived by two sons, Arvil Nix of Hartselle and Jimmy Nix of Florence; two daughters, Betty Hicks of Hartselle and Margaret Miller of Decatur; a sister, Olien McCay of Locust Fork; five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. Pallbearers were Lonnie Roy, Dusty Roy, Ryan Nix, Brandon Nix, Justin Nix, Jason Nix and Drew Nix.
