Funeral for Levoyd J. Humphries, 78, of Decatur was Wednesday, Feb. 7, at 1 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Randy VanLandingham and Kenny Baskins officiating.
Burial was in Burningtree Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Humphries died Monday, Feb. 5, 2007, at his residence. He was born Jan. 3, 1929, in Morgan County to Irving C. Humphries and Arrena M. Cobbs Humphries. He was a member of Ninth Street United Methodist Church in Decatur and a member of Wheeler Basin Good Sam Camping Club. He was preceded in death by a brother, Everette Humphries.
He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Humphries of Decatur; three sons, Michael Levoyd Humphries and wife Pat of Vicksburg, Miss., Anthony Buel Humphries and wife Dannete and Timothy Lamar Humphries and wife Becky, all of Decatur; two daughters, Beverly Hopper and Karen Dietz and husband Sam, all of Decatur; three brothers, Carrol Gene Humphries of Center Springs, Hulond Humphries of Wedowee and Billy Hue Humphries of Eva; two sisters, Sarah Sue Eddleman of Fairview and Yvonne Hughes of Pinson; 10 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Todd Roberts, Joe Richardson, Derek Humphries, Mark Fallin, Dylan Humphries and Kenneth Humphries.
