Punishing floods. Daring bank robberies. Devastating fires.
The history of Morgan County is marked by a series of dramatic occurrences that people are still talking about today.
But there are smaller, less noticeable occurrences that changed the way we lived, too.
Births. Weddings. New businesses.
Our annual Progress issue will celebrate all those happenings, the good and the bad. Progress will publish March 29 and we need your help in producing this year’s section.
Progress 2007 will include a decade-by-decade look at the history of Morgan County, starting with 1900 and ending today. We’ll also look at where our cities and counties are headed in the future.
What we’re looking for is old photographs, stories, family histories, anything you have that can help tell the story of Morgan County. Items can be emailed to news@hartselleenquirer.com or brought by the Enquirer office.
We will scan your information immediately and give it back to you, so you won’t be without your families treasurers for long. We’re looking for all sorts of information, especially those dealing with Morgan County’s earliest times.
If you’d like more information on this section, feel free to give us a call. You can talk to someone at 773-6566.
