Hartselle woman charged with assault

A Hartselle woman is charged with assault in the second degree after she allegedly shot her cousin at a party.
Tenishala Antwanette Orr, 23, of 1000 Mitwede Street SW Apt. K-6, was at a party in Decatur Jan. 20 when she and her cousin, Lateria Mesha Orr, allegedly began arguing around 2 a.m. During the argument, Tenishala Orr allegedly shot Lateria in the right arm. The bullet went through her arm and into her chest, where it exited her chest. She was taken to Decatur General where she was treated and released.
Tenishala Orr surrendered herself to police Feb. 7 and is being held on $750 bond.
