City should support restaurant
Editor:
Giovanni’s Restaurant seems to have made the news several times, particularly recently. They have repeatedly expressed a concern that local patronage isn’t sufficient to maintain the business in Hartselle. We have eaten lunch there several times and found the service, food and prices to be exceptional, particularly Sundays.
True Italian cuisine is rare most anywhere one goes and having it available in Hartselle is exceptionally unique (Note: Pizza, as primarily eaten in the US, is not truly Italian) .
I rather expect that most of the locals were raised on meat and potatoes, with no seasoning and flavor, so when it comes to connoisseurs of ethnically flavorful food, they strike out, complaining it is too spicy.
Giovanni’s is unquestionably the best restaurant in Hartselle. It would be a shameful travesty to loose it.
