C. C. ‘Sonny’ Smith Sr.

A memorial service for C. C. “Sonny” Smith Sr., 63, of Eva was held Friday, Feb. 18, at 5 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Clyde Ledlow officiating.
Mr. Smith died Tuesday, Feb. 13, 2007, at University Hospital in Birmingham. He was born January 5, 1944, in Morgan County to Oscar Smith and Myrtle Tomlin Smith.
A veteran of the U. S. Air Force, he was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Rayburn Smith and a great-grandchild.
He is survived by his wife, Kathleen Smith of Eva; a son, Clif Smith of Hartselle; two daughters, Jennifer Smith of Ardmore and Leah Mosqueda of Greenville, Mich.; a son Robert Mosqueda of Shelbyville, Mich.; a brother, Frankie Smith of Vinemont; three sisters, Barbara Bray of Mobile and Pat Leverett and Susan Wright, both of Falkville; 10 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the UAB Burn Center in Birmingham or the Juvenile Diabetes Association.
