Emmanuel Church International will host a women’s conference March 2 at 6 p.m. and March 3 at 9 a.m. Speaker will be Amanda Goodson of Tucson, Arizona. She is a native of Decatur.
The Pentecostal Assembly of Believers Inc. of the Apostolic Faith and Bishop Carl E. Holland, presiding bishop, invite everyone to their Mid Winter Convention March 7-9 at the Greater Jubilee House of Prayer in Decatur.
The Women of Strength Conference will begin March 1 at 7 p.m. at New Life Missionary Baptist Church in Athens with Rev. Antoyne Green and Felicia Green speakers. A community choir will also be performing. On March 2 at 7 p.m., Angela Beard of Jackson, Tenn. will be speaking and New Life Dance team will perform. On March 3 from 8 a.m.-noon, sessions on marriage, surviving abuse and other topics will be offered. There will also be a health fair and blood drive. Call 559-0609 for more information.
Mill Creek Baptist Church will welcome “The Joyful Hearts” Feb. 24 at 7 p.m. To get to the church, take Highway 31 South to Lacon Trade Day, turn east on East Lacon Road go approximately two miles and turn right on Mill Creek Road. Church is a quarter mile on the right.
The “Transforming Lives through Faith Women’s Conference” will be held March 8-10 at the Decatur Utilities Training Center, located at 1002 Central Parkway. Host is Minister Vera Stanley, of Vera Stanley Ministries, Inc. Athens First United Methodist Church will host a women’s retreat, “Girlfriends Growing in Grace,” March 2 from 6-9 p.m. and March 3 from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. Speaker will be Cathy Phillips of Atlanta. Tickets are $30.
