Falkville woman faces theft charges

A Falkville woman is charged with theft of property after she allegedly took a Camaro for a test drive from a car lot and didn’t return.
Kelly Jenice Weaver, 28, of 513 County Road 1219 in Falkville is charged with theft of property in the first degree in connection with a Feb. 9 incident at Lindsey’s Auto Sales in Danville. Lindsey’s owner, Charles K. Lindsey, reported a female in her 20s had taken a test drive in a Camaro but had not returned the vehicle. The stolen car was found in Falkville the next day.
Weaver was identified as a suspect and was later picked out of two photo lineups.
Weaver is awaiting charges in Hartselle for a similar incident.
She is being held on $1,500 bond.
